Born from the burning depths of Southern France in 2019, MARKARTH embodies the darkest and most brutal side of extreme metal.

The band unleashes an infernal blend of Black and Death Metal, fusing razor-sharp riffs with suffocating, oppressive atmospheres. Their music draws inspiration from the frozen and tormented lands of Scandinavia, the darkness of Eastern Europe, and the myth-laden, arid expanses of ancient Egypt.

In 2024, Markarth released their debut album “Curse of Origins”, revealing a true conceptual work, a descent into the abyss of evil and its origins. With this release, the band claims its place within the underground scene, asserting a strong identity infused with esoteric and historical influences, driven by a modern and relentless production.

Their stage presence goes far beyond a simple live performance, each show is conceived as an occult ceremony, a hypnotic and unforgiving journey. Every note, every scream awakens the echoes of ancient powers and souls condemned to wander in darkness.
